Applications Now Available
Headquarters Development is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for the Abbett Avenue Apartments located at 38-42 Abbett Avenue in Morristown, NJ. This 12 unit property will be available to low and moderate income households. Applicants are required to submit a complete application, meet the minimum and maximum income requirements, pass a credit and criminal background check, and have reputable references. Once pre-screened, households will be matched to an affordable unit through a lottery system. Successful applicants will be required to demonstrate the ability to pay a security deposit and first month’s rent.
Applications are available by clicking on the link below. If you have already submitted a written request to have an application mailed to you, your request will be processed by June 3, 2008. Applications must be clear and completed in its entirety or they will not be processed. Please submit one application per family. Applications must submitted by
July 7, 2008. Any applications received after July 7, 2008 will be placed on a waiting list.

Background
The Abbett Avenue Apartments will provide 12 one, two, and three bedroom rental units for Very Low, Low and Moderate income households. Apartments will range from approximately 625 square feet to 1,400 square feet, with rents between $387 and $1,094. Tenants can walk to amenities such as bus and rail transportation, Abbett Park, and downtown Morristown. The units will be energy efficient and exceed green building standards for NJ affordable housing.
Anticipated occupancy is August 2008. In Spring 2008, we will begin the formal application process. A lottery system will be utilized in accordance with New Jersey fair housing guidelines. Persons wishing to be notified when the application process starts should mail their information to:
